IMPACT

Empowerment is defined as a process aimed at reducing vulnerability and increasing the capacities of specific population sectors. This process drives human and sustainable development, promoting community growth. Facilitators play a crucial role in exercising egalitarian leadership that stimulates progress through training on topics of concern. As more women gain knowledge, they understand that their participation benefits not only them, but also their community and environment.

A significant change is being observed in communities with conservative tendencies, such as the community of the village of El Potrero, where they now recognize the value of collaboration and the sense of community in the projects in which they participate. Participation and the achievement of goals, both personal and collective, develop gradually, evidencing the positive impact of empowerment in these communities.
