SAFE WATER FOR FAMILIES PROGRAM - MONTERIA

Colombian sources claim that 80% of the population lacks potable water. The Safe Water for Families Program is a collaborative effort between CAPD and Rotary to supply at least 600 families in Cordoba with safe water and hygiene training. CAPD hired Enadis Garcia, a university graduate from a small town near Monteria, to be the program Coordinator and to work with Rotarians in the delivery of community training and follow-up, and to monitor filter construction.  To date 200 filters have been installed.

Cost of the water filter is $50.00
Cost of hygiene training and community work is $50.00
