Integration

INTEGRATION PROGRAM: CAPD provides support to Colombian disability organizations that offer programs of integration, rehabilitation, and recreation for people with disability. Our Colombian agents for this program are FANDIC and ASODISPIE.


 
COMMUNITY PARTNERS in the Integration Program

FANDIC FANDIC - Bucaramanga

    Fandic provides therapy, education services and recreation for 40 children with disabilities, their siblings and their families in one of the poorest sectors of Bucaramanga. Mothers are taught to provide therapeutic exercise for their children and those who wish to earn income for the home can participate in small businesses such as the bakery.

ASODISPIE
ASODISPIE - Piedecuesta

ASODISPIE is a Disabled People's Organization composed of 100 members with all types of disability, ages and both genders. They recently completed the construction of their new Centre and now have space for therapy, an arts & crafts program, and small business development.


Their bus was funded by the Alberta Government and CAPD.


FANDIC


The bakery is run by mothers of children with disability.


Mothers provide exercise for their children under supervision of a therapist.
