The Green Light Education Assistance Program helps children from low income families to stay in school by providing lunches, uniforms, shoes and school supplies.


 
  GREEN LIGHT EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

MOTIVATION TO STAY IN SCHOOL!

In 2011, 383 students received school lunch or uniforms, shoes and school supplies. Of these:

  • 13 finished grade nine
  • 6 graduated from high school

Green Light Expansion

This year the program is in two departamentos (states)

  1. Santander where 574 students are receiving assistance
  2. Risaralda, where 100 students from 2 high schools are receiving assistance.

Cost of primary school uniform package is $94.00
Cost of secondary school uniform package is $142.00

Uniforms, Shoes and School Supplies

These young women graduated from high school in 2011 and are hoping to study for a career.



Students from Alfredo Garcia school in Pereira, Risaralda receive their uniforms, shoes and backpack from Gilma, the Green Light coordinator.
