The Green Light Education Assistance Program encourages children from low income families to work hard in their studies and families to take pride in their schools. Assistance is provided in the form of uniforms, shoes and school supplies. Students must maintain a 75% average in order to stay in the program and parents (or designate) must participate in school improvement projects. Their involvement produces a sense of ownership and pride as students achieve good marks and parents transform the school.

In 2014, the Green Light Program provided uniforms to 947 students in the 'departamentos' of Santander and Risaralda. These are just some of the students benefiting from the program.

Our agent to run this program in Santander is FANDIC and the coordinator is Rocio Nuñez.

Our agent in Risaralda is the Foundation Maria Teresa Vasco and our coordinator is Gilma Correa.

This program receives support from the COLMED Fund of the Calgary Foundation.
